What happened
During the early stages of flight departing from Buenos Aires-Aeroparque-Jorge Newbury Airport, an aircraft bearing registrations T-11 and LV-XFE experienced significant difficulties. While performing its initial climb, the crew encountered intense crosswinds that impacted the stability of the aircraft type. The plane began to roll laterally between left and right inclinations before entering a stall.
The subsequent descent resulted in the aircraft impacting a field near the departure site. The accident resulted in 18 fatalities, including 17 individuals on board and one person located on the ground. Additionally, there were 16 injuries reported among the occupants, which included the copilot.
Findings
- The flight was interrupted by severe crosswind conditions during the climb phase.
- The aircraft experienced a loss of control characterized by rolling motions and an eventual aerodynamic stall.
