Accident Details
The aircraft was completing a humanitarian mission to Jérémie on behalf of the United Nations Organization. Upon touchdown, the left main landing gear collapsed. The aircraft subsequently went out of control, veered off the runway, and collided with the airport's main terminal. The aircraft sustained substantial damage and was written off.
Occupants and Injuries
All 35 occupants on board were rescued. Among them, two individuals sustained serious injuries. The remaining occupants were uninjured or had minor injuries.
Probable Cause
According to official findings, the accident was caused by the failure of the left main gear upon landing for unknown reasons.
