What happened
During the approach to San Carlos de Bariloche, the flight crew initiated their descent toward the destination airport. While maneuvering through the region, the aircraft collided with the terrain on the slope of Mt Meta. This impact occurred at a distance approximately 30 km southwest of the airfield.
Upon striking the mountainside, the plane underwent structural disintegration. There were no survivors among the passengers and crew; the accident resulted in 16 fatalities.
