What happened

On July 6, 2014, at approximately 10:30 local time, a Boeing B752, registered N19141, was undergoing a pushback maneuver at Lisbon Airport (LPPT) for a flight bound to Newark (KEWR). During the operation, both tires of the nose landing gear burst. The loss of pressure caused the aircraft to descend until the nose gear assembly was resting directly on the wheel rims.

All passengers and crew members were able to disembark from the aircraft safely. There were no fatalities or serious injuries reported, though 8 crew members and 169 passengers experienced minor injuries or no injuries.
