Accident Details
According to the accident report form submitted by the pilot, the airplane was departing from runway 33. The runway measures 8,500 feet in length and 100 feet in width, with an asphalt surface. As the tail of the aircraft came up during the takeoff roll, the pilot stated that it went "hard right," causing the airplane to veer to the left. The pilot attempted to correct the deviation by applying brakes and rudder inputs, but the aircraft departed the left side of the runway and subsequently nosed over.
Damage Assessment
The impact resulted in substantial damage to the airplane. Both wings were crushed aft and exhibited wrinkled surfaces. The gearbox was also wrinkled, and both main landing gear assemblies were crushed aft.
Environmental Conditions
At the time of the accident, the recorded wind conditions were 230 degrees at 3 knots.
Aircraft Examination
An examination of the aircraft systems was conducted by an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. The inspection revealed no anomalies in the aircraft's systems.
