Incident Overview
A pilot who had recently purchased an airplane was en route to his home airport with another pilot when the accident occurred. During the final approach to runway 25, the pilot reported the airplane was "exactly on course." However, during the flare, the airplane veered to the left and the right wing lifted. The pilot applied full throttle and initiated a go-around, but stated the airplane was "already in a stall."
Impact and Post-Accident Actions
The airplane then impacted a sign, substantially damaging the left wing, before coming to rest in the grass. Despite the damage, the pilot was able to taxi the airplane to the ramp. During the taxi, he observed two turboprop aircraft taxiing to the ramp in front of him.
Pilot Observations and Conditions
The pilot believed he experienced propwash from the other aircraft while landing. He additionally reported no pre-impact mechanical anomalies with the airplane. The winds at the time of the accident were recorded as variable at 4 knots.
