What happened
On December 23, 2009, at 18:50 local time, a Garlick TH-1F (a modified Bell 204) was engaged in aerial firefighting operations near Canowindra, Australia. While maneuvering, the aircraft, registered as VH-UHD, struck trees and terrain. The helicopter sustained substantial damage during the impact. The pilot sustained one serious injury, and there were no fatalities.
