Accident Details
The pilot of a tail wheel-equipped airplane reported that the accident occurred during landing on a dry, hard-surfaced runway. He stated that during the landing rollout, while transitioning his feet from the bottom to the top of the rudder pedals, he inadvertently applied excessive brake pressure. This caused the airplane to nose over. The pilot noted that he suffers from diabetic neuropathy, which he believes contributed to his lack of awareness of the amount of brake pressure applied.
Pilot Information
The pilot, who holds a commercial pilot certificate, reported that he did not possess a current FAA medical certificate at the time of the accident. He further stated that there were no pre-accident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane.

The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage and tail assembly as a result of the nose-over.
