Accident Overview
A pilot reported that during the landing sequence, gusting crosswinds were encountered. While attempting to maintain directional control on the rollout, the pilot applied the brakes, causing the airplane to nose over. The aircraft had a tailwheel conversion.
Damage
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the firewall, both wings including the ailerons and flaps, and the vertical stabilizer.

At the time of the accident, the wind was reported from 280 degrees at 6 knots, gusting to 10 knots.
