What happened
On August 6, 2012, at approximately 1540 UTC, an Embraer 505 Phenom 300, registered as CN-MBR, was involved in a runway excursion at St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport (LSZR) in Liechtenstein. The aircraft, operated by Dalia Air, had departed from Geneve-Cointrin Airport in Geneva, Switzerland, around 1500 UTC for a non-scheduled cross-country flight.
Upon landing on runway 10, the aircraft overshot the runway, breached a fence, and came to a stop in a nearby field. The accident resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft. All three occupants—two pilots and one passenger—were not injured.
At the time of the accident, weather conditions were characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with 10 miles of visibility, light rain, and winds variable at 1 knot.
The investigation
Components of the aircraft's flap system and flight control electronics were retained and underwent testing at the Parker Hannifin Corporation in Irvine, California, on January 16, 2013.
