What happened

During the takeoff roll, the aircraft experienced a failure of the left hand main gear wheel. In response to the failure, the pilot aborted the takeoff. The aircraft subsequently came to a stop on Runway 03L.

The incident resulted in damage to the left hand engine, the wing, the left hand main landing gear, and the left hand wheel assemblies. There were no injuries to the passengers or the crew.
