What happened
On August 12, 2015, at 16:30 UTC, a Cessna 208B, registration N924FE, was involved in an accident near Saba, Netherlands Antilles. The aircraft, operated by Mountain Air Cargo, was performing a cargo flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico (TJSJ) to Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis (TKPK).
During the flight, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power, resulting in the crew ditching the plane in the Caribbean Sea. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the event. There were no fatalities and one minor injury reported.
