A powered paraglider pilot died following a spiral dive maneuver at low altitude near the Milewo airfield.

What happened

On the morning of May 30, 2015, two powered paragliders took off from an area adjacent to the airfield in Milewo (EPMX). Approximately ten minutes into the flight, at roughly 07:20 local time, one of the aircraft reached an altitude of about 50 meters. At this height, the pilot initiated a spiral maneuver. During the execution of this maneuver, the powered paraglider (consisting of a Dudek Ozone wing and a Minari F1M1 engine) struck the ground. The pilot sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
