The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) notified the NTSB of an accident involving a Boeing 727, registration 9Q-CVS, which took place on September 16, 2016, in Kamina, DRC.

As the State of Manufacturer and Design for both the aircraft and the engine, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the investigation being conducted by the DRC authorities under ICAO Annex 13. There were no injuries reported in the accident. All investigative findings will be released by the government of the DRC.
