On October 24, 2016, an accident involving a Lockheed Martin Stalker XE unmanned aircraft took place at Mount Disappointment, Australia. The aircraft involved in the event was identified by the registration UNREG.
What happened
Following the occurrence of the accident, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) notified the NTSB. Because the aircraft is of U.S. manufacture and design, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the ATSB investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13.
