On August 26, 2017, an incident occurred in Delhi, India, involving a Boeing 747-200 with registration ER-BAT.
Following the event, the India Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) notified the NTSB. Because the United States is the state of design and manufacture for both the aircraft and its engines, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the investigation conducted by the AAIB under ICAO Annex 13 protocols. There were no injuries reported in relation to this incident.
