On December 24, 2019, at approximately 1529 UTC, a Cessna 208B, registration XA-TWN, crashed into desert terrain near San Rafael, Sonora, Mexico. The aircraft was traveling toward Guerrero Negro Airport (MMGR) in Baja California, Mexico, at the time of the impact. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries to the two occupants on board. The aircraft was destroyed following the impact.

The investigation is being conducted under the jurisdiction of the Mexican government. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the Agencia Federal de Aviacion Civil (AFAC) in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 13.
