Accident Details

On July 22, 2020, at about 1100 central daylight time, a Beech 400, registration N425BJ, sustained substantial damage during a landing at Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) in Montgomery, Alabama. The aircraft was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight, with two pilots and one passenger on board. None of the occupants were injured.

Landing Gear Malfunction

According to the pilot, after selecting landing gear extension for landing, he did not receive a positive indication that the left main landing gear was down and locked. The pilot consulted the airplane’s emergency procedures for manual landing gear extension, but this procedure also failed to deploy the gear.

Landing and Damage
