What happened
On June 13, 2020, an incident involving a BrakoGyro gyroplane, registered as SP-A16PAT, occurred in the vicinity of Parchowo, Poland.
The investigation
The State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation (PKBW/WL) reviewed the documentation regarding the event. During the review of the circumstances surrounding the flight, the Commission established that the aircraft was being operated or constructed in a manner that did not comply with applicable aviation regulations.
Due to the finding that the BrakoGyro was being used or maintained in violation of established legal requirements, the Commission decided to refrain from conducting a full formal investigation into the occurrence. The gathered materials and findings have been forwarded to the Civil Aviation Authority (Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego) for further action.
