What happened
On July 14, 2020, after 18:00 LMT, a Pipistrel Alpha Trainer with registration SP-SZAL was taxiing toward runway 09 at the Kraków Pobiednik (EPKP) aerodrome. While maneuvering through the intersection of taxiways Alpha and Bravo, the aircraft struck a taxiway edge marker.
As a result of the impact, the aircraft's propeller sustained damage. No other damage to the aircraft was identified following the incident.
The investigation
The PKBWL reviewed the aviation occurrence report submitted by the aircraft operator. The investigation focused on the movement of the aircraft through the taxiway intersection and the physical contact with the airfield marker.
