What happened

While performing the third circuit of the pattern, the aircraft began to steepen its bank and nose down during the turn to the downwind leg.

The pilot attempted to arrest the descent by pushing the propeller, mixture, and throttle controls to the full forward position, but was unable to stop the descent. The aircraft subsequently impacted a densely populated area, striking a house and a vehicle before coming to rest in an inverted position. The accident resulted in one minor injury to the pilot; there were no fatalities.
