What happened

During the early morning hours of 13 November 2018, a Piper PA-28R-200 crashed into the ground at the Brantford Municipal Airport in Ontario. The aircraft, which was privately owned, struck the terrain in the airport infield area located next to Runway 05. The impact caused substantial damage to the airframe. There were two fatalities among the occupants on board the aircraft.
