What happened

On 19 September 2015, a Pegasus Quantum 15, registration G-MZJH, was conducting a private flight near Slipton, Northamptonshire. During the approach to a private airstrip, the aircraft was flying at an estimated speed of 55 mph in favorable weather conditions. While maintaining an altitude of approximately 30 ft agl, the aircraft experienced a sudden drop in altitude and struck the ground. Following the impact, the aircraft slid for roughly 30 yards before rolling onto its right side. The two people on board, the pilot and one passenger, both sustained minor injuries.
