What happened

On August 21, 2023, a Diamond HK 36 TTC motor glider, registration OY-XZP, was performing a solo flight at the Frederikssund Nord gliding airfield under visual flight rules (VFR). During the landing phase on runway 28, the aircraft experienced a hard touchdown. Following this initial impact, the aircraft bounced repeatedly along the runway. After traveling approximately 400 meters, the aircraft came to a complete stop. During the sequence of bounces, the propeller made contact with the runway surface, and the nose gear assembly collapsed.
