What happened
Before commencing the flight, the pilot assessed the meteorological forecast and identified that wind speeds were expected to be high. Although the conditions remained within acceptable operational limits, the pilot decided to proceed with the flight while planning for a potential lay-over landing.
During the flight, the pilot observed that the wind strength was consistent with the initial forecast. In preparation for the anticipated landing, the pilot briefed the passengers on the upcoming arrival. During the landing process, a passenger sustained a minor injury.
The investigation
Following the occurrence, an investigation was conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the passenger's injury. While the investigation confirmed the presence of the forecasted wind conditions, investigators were unable to establish a specific cause for the injury sustained by the passenger.
