What happened
Following the completion of technical maintenance work, a test flight was conducted involving two pilots and two engineers. The twin engine airplane took off from Mumbai-Juhu Airport to perform various maneuvers over the metropolitan area. During the return portion of the flight, the aircraft encountered heavy rainfall. While on approach, the aircraft became uncontrollable and struck a building currently under construction in the Ghatkopar West district, situated approximately 3 km east of Mumbai International Airport.
The impact and subsequent fire caused the total destruction of the aircraft. All four occupants on board the plane were killed in the accident. Additionally, the crash resulted in three injuries to individuals located on the ground near the impact site.
