What happened
During a nighttime descent toward Piedras Negras, a single-engine aircraft encountered challenging meteorological conditions, including mist and drizzle. This weather resulted in significantly reduced visibility for the pilot during the approach.
While maneuvering in these low-visibility conditions, the aircraft impacted the slope of a hill situated approximately 16 km from the Piedras Negras Airport. The impact led to a high number of casualties among those on board. The accident resulted in nine fatalities and left two passengers with serious injuries.
