What happened
During a flight from Cumaná to Coro, an aircraft disappeared while in the en route phase of flight. The aircraft was traveling on a heading of 262° when communication and radar contact were lost. This loss of contact occurred at a position roughly 30 nautical miles off the coast of Barcelona.
Following the failure of the aircraft to reach its intended destination, search and rescue operations were launched to locate the plane. Despite these efforts, the search yielded no evidence of the aircraft or its occupants. No information regarding the total fatality count or the specific aircraft model was available at the time of the disappearance.
