What happened
On the evening of April 5, 2015, a Beechcraft 36, registration PT-CKB, landed on a decommissioned runway at the former airport in Piraí do Sul, Paraná. The origin and destination of the flight, as well as the purpose of the landing, were unknown. Following the landing, the pilot abandoned the aircraft and fled into the nearby forest. Upon arrival at the scene, state police authorities discovered 91.7 kg of a substance with an odor and color similar to cocaine inside the aircraft. The aircraft sustained no apparent damage during the landing.
The investigation
CENIPA (SERIPA V) became aware of the occurrence on April 14, 2015, through CINDACTA II and Paraná state police. The investigation revealed that the operator failed to notify the investigation agency of the event. Furthermore, the investigation was ultimately interrupted because the occurrence involved intentional illegal acts that did not yield new information for aeronautical accident prevention.
