What happened

On May 27, 2014, at approximately 13:50 local time, a Hawker Beechcraft B200, registration LV-CNT, crashed into the Rio de la Plata. The aircraft was performing a transfer flight from San Fernando International Airport (SADF) in Argentina to Carmelo International Airport (SUCM) in Uruguay.

While the aircraft was approximately 10 km southeast of the Carmelo airport, it plummeted into the water. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There was no fire reported at the scene.

The investigation confirmed the flight was an international transfer between Argentina and Uruguay.
