What happened
On April 26, 2009, a flight plan was approved for training activities near the Yuryevskoye (Volzhanka) settlement, scheduled between 07:00 and 17:00. The crew, consisting of two amateur pilots, arrived at the landing site in an SP-2008, registration RA-0321G, and successfully completed their pre-flight medical examinations. After reviewing the current meteorological, air traffic, and ornithological conditions, the crew received takeoff clearance from the local flight information service.
The aircraft departed at 09:01:03 to perform maneuvers within the designated aerobatic zone. At 09:12:06, the aircraft returned to the Yuryevskoye landing site without prior communication with the dispatcher regarding the reason for the return. During the landing roll on the unpaved runway, the aircraft exited the paved surface and capsized into the Volga River.
