What happened
On February 7, 2015, an A-22 Krechet, registration RA-1935G, was performing a flight between the Borovichi and Kirishi landing sites. The aircraft was operated with a crew consisting of the pilot and one passenger.
During the climb phase after departing from the Kirishi area, the aircraft encountered icing conditions at an altitude of approximately 200 meters. In response to the deteriorating flight conditions, the pilot activated the aircraft's rapid-deployment parachute rescue system. During the descent, the aircraft struck trees. The impact resulted in serious injuries to the pilot, while the passenger remained unharmed. The aircraft sustained significant damage during the incident.
