On May 4, 2019, an Antonov An-2 operated by OOO "Voskhod" was scheduled to transport technical cargo for LLC "Dalzoloto" to the "Vyun" ore deposit in the Verkhoyansk district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The flight departed from the Ust-Nera airfield at 01:55. The crew, consisting of a captain, a second pilot, and an aircraft technician, had arrived at the airfield two hours prior to the scheduled departure.
Prior to takeoff, the aircraft, registration RA-01443, was refueled and inspected. The captain calculated the takeoff weight to be approximately 5100 kg, which was within the maximum allowable takeoff weight of 5500 kg specified in the aircraft flight manual. The calculated center of gravity was 28.5%, falling within the permitted range of 17.2% to 33%.
During the flight, the aircraft maintained an altitude of 2000 meters with an indicated airspeed of 180 km/h. The flight path followed a route from Ust-Nera to geodetic point 6554N13820E and back through Class "G" airspace.
Upon landing at the improvised site, the right main landing gear strut of the RA-01443 collapsed, resulting in damage to the aircraft. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.
