On September 16, 2015, an Antonov An-2 operated by OOO Yenisey Airline was performing a flight in the Bratsk district of the Irkutsk region. The flight crew, consisting of a captain and a second pilot, was operating a route from the settlement of Zheleznogorsk to the settlement of Achinsk via Tasseyevo. An aircraft technician was also present on board as a passenger.
The aircraft, registration RA-35141, had a takeoff weight of 5420 kg. The center of gravity was calculated at approximately 20.49% of the maximum allowable takeoff weight (MAC), which was within the limits specified in the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM).
Prior to departure, the captain conducted the pre-flight preparations and assessed the weather conditions using internet-based information and telephone communication with the Bratsk airfield dispatcher. The meteorological data available did not preclude the flight from proceeding. As the departure location lacked a medical professional, the captain performed a health inquiry of the crew members and authorized the flight after noting no health complaints.
The aircraft was fully equipped according to technical documentation. The flight was conducted following the pre-flight training and weight calculations completed approximately one hour before departure.
