On November 8, 2018, an Antonov An-2, registration RA-84674, operated by AO "2nd Arkhangelsk JSC", was conducting a scheduled passenger flight. The flight route was planned from Vaskovo to Soyana, Dolgoshchelye, Mezhen, and returning via the same points back to Vaskovo. Prior to departure, the crew passed medical examinations and the aircraft was prepared with 900 liters of fuel and necessary baggage.
Before takeoff, an aviation technician cleaned the fuselage and lower wing of the aircraft. The takeoff weight was approximately 5,500 kg, and the center of gravity was within the limits specified in the flight manual. No icing was present on the aircraft at the time of departure from Vaskovo at approximately 07:21:30.
During the flight, the crew passed the 50 km point at 07:52:04. After being transferred to the Arkhangelsk Flight Information Center, the crew reported at 07:53:40 that they were returning to Vaskovo due to icing. The aircraft subsequently performed a forced landing in a forest.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported following the incident.
