On February 20, 2020, an Antonov An-2, registration RA-40642, was involved in an aviation incident during takeoff from a former landing site in the '13 km' district of Magadan. The aircraft had been undergoing maintenance at a facility in the area by specialists from LLC 'Polar-Avia' since February 11, 2020. Following the completion of maintenance, the aircraft was prepared for a scheduled flight to Seimchan.
Prior to departure, technical specialists added 800 liters of Avgas 100LL to the fuel tanks, bringing the total fuel load to 1000 liters. The flight assignment for the route Magadan-13 to Seimchan via Glukharynoe included 12 passengers and 150 kg of cargo. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.
During the takeoff phase, the aircraft exceeded critical angles of attack and entered a stall, leading to a collision with the ground. The incident occurred while the aircraft was operating under the management of OOO 'T-Cement'.
