On October 13, 2024, an An-3T operated by OOO Aviaкомпания Boruss performed a forced landing in the vicinity of the Olyokminsk Airport airfield in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). During the impact with the ground, one passenger sustained fatal injuries. The crew and the remaining two passengers survived the event without injury.
At the time of the accident, the flight crew was at their regular workstations in the cockpit with seatbelts fastened, and all passengers were secured in the cabin. Following the collision, the crew evacuated the two uninjured passengers through the cockpit emergency hatch. No design features of the aircraft were found to have contributed to the severity of the accident.
The aircraft, registration RA-05884, was inspected by authorities, and no fire occurred at the scene. The captain activated the emergency signal system and reported the accident to management via telephone at 07:50. Emergency rescue units from the Aircraft Search and Rescue Service arrived at the scene at 08:42, followed by airport rescue units and medical teams.
Medical examinations of the captain and second pilot were conducted at the Olyokminsk Central District Hospital. Toxicological tests performed on the crew and the deceased passenger returned negative results for alcohol and other drugs.
