On June 12, 2025, a VT-440 unmanned aerial vehicle, registration RA-057EP, was involved in flight testing approximately 4 km northwest of the settlement of Tazovsky, located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russian Federation. The mission was part of an experimental legal regime aimed at developing technology for unmanned cargo delivery.
The flight was conducted by a crew from Joint-Stock Company "Radar MMS Research and Development Center," consisting of an external test pilot and an aviation technician. The primary objectives of the flight were to test the UAV's performance following its recent transportation to the Tazovsky airfield and to evaluate its technical readiness for operations in Far North conditions.
The aircraft had previously undergone technical condition assessments in May 2025 and was transported from St. Petersburg to the operational site in a transport container. The crew members were operating under an established experimental legal regime approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported in relation to this flight event.
