What happened
On February 13, 2008, a CRJ-100LR (CL-600-2B19), registration EW-101PJ, arrived at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan, Armenia, operating flight BRU-1833 from Minsk. The flight, operated by a crew consisting of a captain, a first officer, and a flight attendant, proceeded through takeoff, climb, cruise, and descent without any technical malfunctions or deviations from the flight plan. The aircraft landed in Yerevan at 22:05.
Following the arrival, the crew began an external walkaround inspection at 22:20, which was recorded in the aircraft logbook. No issues were noted during this inspection. At approximately 22:30, the crew began refueling the aircraft with 2,200 liters (1,802 kg) of Jet A-1 fuel. This process was conducted via the right-wing fueling port under the supervision of the first officer using an automatic refueling system. By 22:50, the crew had transitioned to pre-flight preparations and briefings for the upcoming leg to Minsk, which was scheduled to depart at 00:15 on February 14, 2008.
