On September 24, 2016, an agricultural aircraft, a Yezhik with registration RA-0343G, was engaged in a mission to perform aerial chemical treatment of a field using the desiccant 'Reglon Super'. The flight originated from an airfield in the village of Lypyagi in the Voronezh region.
Prior to the flight, the pilot-in-command and a technician refueled the RA-0343G with 60 liters of fuel, while a representative from an agricultural enterprise added 100 liters of desiccant. The pilot did not undergo a pre-flight medical examination, as the location did not have an authorized medical professional, allowing the pilot-in-command to make the decision to fly under FAP-128 regulations.
During the operation, the aircraft experienced an engine failure in flight. While attempting an emergency landing, the aircraft lost airspeed and entered a stall at a low altitude.
No injuries or fatalities were reported in the accident. The flight history was reconstructed using satellite navigation data and witness accounts, as the pilot-in-command was unable to be interviewed due to his psychological state following the event.
