On November 15, 2017, a Let-410UVP-E20, registered as RA-67047, was scheduled to fly from Khabarovsk to Nelkan via Nikolaevsk-on-Amur. During pre-flight preparations, the crew learned that Nikolaevsk-on-Amur airport was closed for runway cleaning. Following discussions with the dispatcher, the flight route was modified to Khabarovsk – Chumikan – Nelkan.
Before departure, the crew completed all mandatory pre-flight procedures, and technical staff performed an operational inspection with no defects noted. The aircraft was carrying two crew members, five passengers, and 410 kg of cargo. The total takeoff weight was 6368 kg, and the fuel load was 1250 kg.
The aircraft departed from Khabarovsk airport at 23:33 on November 14, 2017 (local time 08:00 on November 15). Weather conditions at the departure, route, and destination airports were within regulatory requirements for takeoff.
The accident resulted in six fatalities. No other injuries were reported.
