What happened
In early 2011, a Tecnam P 2002 Sierra, registered as RA-1332G, was undergoing a change in ownership and operational base. Originally purchased in June 2010 from the Italian manufacturer Tecnam by Avia Company ChelAvia, the aircraft was subsequently sold to Avia Technologies LLC under a contract dated December 30, 2010.
While the aircraft was stationed at the Nazaryovo landing site in the Krasnoy.arsk Krai, the new owners performed modifications to the landing gear, installing a set of skis manufactured by Datum Inc. (Canada) onto the existing wheel assembly. Following the sale, the aircraft was intended to be relocated to the Kuznetsovo landing site, which is operated by AviaStart-Siberia LLC.
To facilitate the inspection, ferry flights, and necessary maneuvers for the relocation, a service agreement was established on March 5, 2011. This agreement engaged a pilot, serving as a captain-instructor for AviaStart-Siberia LLC, to perform the required flight operations and oversight during the transition period.
