On May 6, 2022, a Tundra aircraft, registration RA-2482G, was operating a scheduled flight for the purpose of aerial patrolling and monitoring for forest fire hazards. The aircraft was operated by LLC "Insight" under a charter agreement with LLC "Borus Airline" for the Irkutsk Aviation Base for Forest Protection.
The crew consisted of three individuals: the captain and two flight observers. While the captain completed a pre-flight medical examination at 13:00, the other two crew members did not undergo required medical examinations, which was a violation of FAP-128 regulations.
During the landing phase at Bratsk airfield, the aircraft encountered crosswind conditions near the maximum permissible limits. The aircraft experienced repeated deviations from the runway, often referred to as bouncing. Following a third deviation, the aircraft reached a critical angle of attack, resulting in a stall and the left wing console impacting the ground.
Investigation findings noted that the pilot was maintaining a speed higher than required during the approach phase. Additionally, the pilot lacked a valid qualification mark for single-engine land aircraft and had not flown the RA-2482G aircraft for a prolonged period.
