On July 12, 2020, a Z-43 aircraft, registration RA-0118G, was involved in an aviation incident in the Kalyazinsky district of the Tver region. The pilot had planned a route from Aerograd Mozhaisky airfield to the Porechye airfield, which had been cleared for landing at the pilot's request the previous day. The intended flight path involved traversing airspace classes C and G.
Prior to the flight, the pilot obtained weather information via the internet. At approximately 10:00 AM, the pilot arrived at Aerograd Mozlyaisky airfield, where the aircraft was refueled with 180 liters of A-92 gasoline and underwent a pre-flight inspection. The pilot did not undergo a medical examination before the flight.
During the takeoff phase, the aircraft was unable to maintain a safe climb profile to clear obstacles. This resulted in the aircraft colliding with treetops and the ground. The flight was conducted without a submitted flight plan, which was a violation of several paragraphs of the Federal Aviation Regulations of the Russian Federation regarding airspace usage and notification.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported as a result of this incident.
