What happened
During a morning training mission, a single-engine aircraft departed from Ravenna-La Spreta Airport. The flight was being conducted for the purpose of a pilot license renewal. While in transit, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The flight path ended when the plane struck a building located approximately 1,400 meters south of the airfield.
The impact and subsequent fire following the crash resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were two fatalities among the occupants of the plane.
Findings
While the specific sequence of the loss of control remains under investigation, the aircraft was operating in unclear circumstances at the time of the incident.
