What happened

On April 20, 2007, a Cessna 525, registered as D-IBIT, was conducting a private IFR flight from Rostock to Ibiza. While cruising at 39,000 feet, the crew received a "door seal" alarm. This alert was immediately followed by a rapid increase in cabin altitude, which rose at a rate of 1,900 feet per minute. In response to the depressurization, the two crew members and one passenger were required to use supplemental oxygen. To ensure safety, the pilots elected to terminate the flight and divert to Geneva.
