What happened

On October 6, 2018, at approximately 11:45 local time, a Cessna Citation C510, registered as OE-FID, was performing a charter flight from Luton (EGGW) to Lugano (LSZA). While the aircraft was landing on runway 01, the right main landing gear sustained damage.

The investigation

The Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board (SUST) initiated an inquiry into the incident. The investigation focused on the circumstances surrounding the touchdown and the mechanical state of the landing gear. The aircraft was operated by Jet24 GmbH and owned by Sky Taxi Luftfahrt GmbH. At the time of the event, there were two pilots on board and one passenger.
