What happened
On August 8, 2020, at approximately 11:37 local time, a Construcciones Aeronauticas S.A. 1.311-E Serie 2000 aircraft, registered as HB-UVU, was conducting a private flight under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). The flight originated from Bex Aérodrome (LSGB) with the intention of landing at Buttwil Airfield (LSZU). During the flight, the pilot encountered engine-related difficulties. Consequently, the pilot performed a precautionary landing in an open field near Menznau, Canton of Lucerne.
The investigation
