What happened
On January 28, 2010, at approximately 1030 UTC, an Embraer EMB-202, registered as PT-UPW, experienced a reported loss of power while operating in the cruise phase of flight. The aircraft was traveling from Joacaba Aerodrome (SSJA) in Santa Catarina, Brazil, toward its destination at Ponta Grossa Aerodrome (SSZW) in Parana, Brazil.
Following the power loss, the pilot performed an emergency landing in a soybean field located near Guarau, Santa Catarina. The pilot was not injured, and the aircraft sustained no damage during the landing.
