What happened
On November 19, 2010, at 15:35 UTC, a Cessna 501, registration G-VUEM, was performing an approach to the runway at Birmingham Airport in Birmingham, United Kingdom. During the approach, the aircraft collided with the instrument landing system (ILS) glide path antenna and subsequently struck the ground.
The flight crew consisted of two members. Of the crew, one person sustained serious injuries, while the other was not injured.
